°Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï says a Fond Farewell

An announcement was made this week - we're losing two much-loved members of our °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï family. One of our true visionaries, Dr. Don Stelting, and his wife Pam, have announced that their retirement will be January 31, 2010. In their time here they have contributed greatly, and they will be greatly missed.

Dr. Stelting began with in 1995 as Vice President for Extension Education, and has been Academic Dean since 1998. His leadership has touched and greatly elevated the experience of °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï students. Dr. Graves, our College President, expressed it best: "I celebrate his many accomplishments throughout a distinguished career in higher education. The College is in a strong position academically because of his vision and leadership."

Dr. Stelting has contributed so much to °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï's success. His achievements are too many to list here, but they include:

  • Helped implement the Online Education program.
  • Helped implement the ADVANTAGE Program.
  • Led °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï in achieving regional accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, a major milestone!
  • Led °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï in achieving reaffirmation by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education.

In his retirement letter, Dr. Stelting humbly said, "It has been a great and wonderful privilege to minister for our Lord through the college. I thank you for allowing me to be your leader."

We at °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï are very appreciative for the many years Pam Stelting has served. She currently is the Director for the Alliance for Ministry Education. She also plays the piano beautifully for many chapel services, and has planned and run many important and successful events for °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï.

°Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï has grown in many ways during the tenure of the Steltings. We are thankful for their vision, expertise, and devotion to the Lord that is clearly evident in their words and deeds. We at °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï will miss them in many ways and on many levels, and we wish them a happy and fulfilling retirement. We also humbly pray and know that the Lord will bless °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï to grant that their legacy will be carried on.
