One of the Joys of Life
I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1951. My father was a minister. He planted a church in Duncan, Oklahoma in 1964. I graduated from Duncan High School in 1969 and moved to Houston, Texas to attend what is now Mid America Christian University.
I met my wife, Jenny, while attending school in Houston. We were married in 1970. We have two children and five grandchildren who live in various places across the nation.
I have attended LSUS in Shreveport, Louisiana while receiving training in hospital chaplaincy and attended Olivet while pastoring a church in Kankakee, Illinois. I earned an M. Div. and an Ed.S. while attending Liberty University. I always wanted to study Church Growth under Dr. Elmer Towns. One segment of the M. Div. was an M.A.R. in Church Growth taught by Dr. Towns.
One reason for working on graduate and post graduate degrees was to be able to have a role to play in preparing future leaders of the Church after my retirement. I feel that my ministry is continuing through teaching at °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï, Ohio Christian University, and Mid America Christian University. All together I have taught over fifty different courses and more than two hundred classes. One of the things I enjoy most in life is teaching for °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï. It is a fulfilling privilege to be serving in this position.
Rev. Bill W. Phillips, °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Adjunct Professor. He has been teaching for °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï since 2008.
