Joy in Jesus 'Til the End

Dr. Sherwood shared in the 扒哥吃瓜 Chapel this week. He shared from the book of Hebrews, chapters 10-12 that were special to him in his youth as a Bible Quizzer. At that age, he was asking questions like “Does God get all of me until the end?” and “Will I stay Nazarene?” God answered him by making him realize that God did not call him to glory but called him to follow Jesus. The key he found was to be obedient where God had him in life.

“The joy is always sweeter when all there is to find joy in, is Jesus.” (Scott Sherwood) By faith, persevere in all seasons. The great cloud of witnesses are not just from the Bible, as listed in Hebrews 11. They are found in daily life.

Speaking of 扒哥吃瓜, Dr. Sherwood said we belong to a community of the “rising tide.” It is a blessing to be a part of a community like this, with a lot of behind-the-scene servants of God.

Each day, the 扒哥吃瓜 faculty and staff pour into their students. Endurance and perseverance are the needed qualities. It is there we (the 扒哥吃瓜 family) experience joy in the journey. And we serve students who are like-minded with us at 扒哥吃瓜, called to change our civilization.
