Moises C.

Altadena, CA

Hi. My name is Moises Champo. I am currently a pastor in the San Fernando Church of the Nazarene. My connection to °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï right now is as an active member of the Board of Trustees. Right now, as a pastor, I enjoy excitement every week. When I see the congregation come together, I experience the joy of preaching the Word of God and sharing the Gospel with people who are in need. That’s one of the things that pump me up a bit — I look forward to that every time. Obviously, there are many other things, but I will point to that God-appointed function that I am given.

°Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï, for me, means a lot in regards to the development of ministers and pastors here in the United States, especially among the Hispanic community. In my opinion, °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï is an absolute necessity for the present condition of the Church and the future development of the organization of the church, both doctrinally and administratively. I think °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï means the future of the Church and the stability that the Church of the Nazarene needs presently and for the future.

Thank you, Dr. Stelting. This is Moises Champo, and I do remember the times that you and I worked together on many different levels during different meetings at °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï and when you visited us in California. You are always welcome. I hope you enjoyed your stay with us. I also want to thank you for the time you took me up to the trailhead in Manitou Springs and just let me go on my way, going up the mountain. I really enjoyed that, so thank you very much.
